Pizza and a Friend

I needed to get out of the house, so I decided to jump on the four wheeler and head up to One Tree Hill. I thought it would be fun to watch the sun set, while enjoying some pepperoni pizza and ice cold Coke.
I piled everything onto my trusty vehicle, along with a warm wooly blanket as the evenings are rather chilly at the moment.
As I approached One Tree Hill, I noticed a lady struggling with a couple of heavy baskets.
I was about to offer her a ride when the unexpected happened – she tripped and spilled her produce everywhere!
I rushed over to help her up. She seemed fine but shaken from her fall. (Amazingly, the egg basket had remained upright throughout this ordeal!) She told me that her name was Bessie. When I went to introduce myself she said, "You must be Isabelle!"
Quite surprised, I said that I was! It turns out that she is a friend of Mr Crumble, and he had mentioned my visit with him. I offered to share my meal, and Bessie thought it would be wonderful to sit and meet a new friend.
Bessie is a Morning and Afternoon Tea Maker (I had never heard of this profession before!). Her lacy bonnet and dress definitely suited the part. She told me that she had dreamed of opening a small coffee shop where people could come in, enjoy a good brew and a chat.
I told her that my job is to find suitable properties for the Smalls. When I said that I could possibly make her dream come true, she got a little sparkle in her eye.

Looks like my work has begun!

Cheerio,
Isabelle

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog, and for your nice comment. I see that you are a property manager - I might need one of those in Paris, if so I'll let you know although I'm sure your forest home is wonderful and you would be reluctant to leave. Still, you know what they say, there's no place like Paris in the springtime!! :)
