Transforming Craft Items

Builder Sam here again.
While I was adding the external staircase to the bakery, I noticed there was an empty space underneath that could be turned into a storage room.
I raided my children's craft supplies and found the following items; craft sticks, plastic tubing, craft foam, paper fasteners, pony beads, glitter, dollar store wedding favors (silver goblets), and printouts.
And all these miscellaneous items were transformed into this!
They are not perfect, but good enough for items that will only be partially seen.
I remembered reading an article by Joann Swanson a few years ago, about using plastic tubing to make "jars". I tried it and it did work! I just want to send out a big thank you to all the artists out there who willingly share their ideas.
(Yes, the white craft glue will dry clear! It was used to keep the little bits of foam inside the jars.)
The door and window allow you to see into the storage room.
Anybody else have a messy workspace?
That's all,
Sam

National Doughnut Day

Did you know that it was National Doughnut Day on Friday? In honor of that day, I am celebrating today and I think it should be just fine. A few friends are coming over to see my office and to indulge in some sweet deliciousness!
Rather tempting I'd say!
(I am rather partial to the chocolate ones!)
Let me show you how much work has been done on my Property Manager's office. It is nearly finished and I am so excited to begin furnishing it. (I have a sneaking suspicion that Mr Crumble and Bessie will be my first clients!)
Downstairs I went with soft green wallpaper and white trim,
This is the front door that I really wanted! It is lovely and wide with a window. Sam bought it in Australia and even added extra trim to make it more interesting.
The stairs have some unique styling also.
I chose blue wallpaper for the upstairs area.
Outside, the shingles have all been installed and stained. Trim has been added and the large windows will be going in quite soon.
Hope you like my office! Now I am just going to wait for my friends.

Wait! I think I see them coming. Cannot wait to sink my teeth into a yummy chocolate doughnut. . .

Cheerio,
Isabelle

Dollhouse Show Treasures

Sam went to a dollhouse show.  I should have gone with her, but as we had just arrived back from Iowa, I was too tired. Maybe next year!
Upon arriving home, Sam showed me the treasures she had purchased. Bessie and Mr Crumble joined me, gathering in my kitchen to view the loot.
The first thing was a beautiful sword! We were told not to touch it as it is very sharp.
Now, the thing about Elves is that we are very curious and swords have been a part of Elf history. I couldn't help myself. Wanting to know exactly how sharp it was, I quietly stretched out my little finger to just touch the edge when Mr Crumble yelled, "NO!" I pulled my hand back so fast, I made the table quiver! Mr Crumble apologized, saying that he did not want to see me get hurt. I apologized as well.
We then looked at a couple of wonderful metal cup holders with dainty little bells on top. Bessie squealed with delight when Sam said that it was a gift for her coffee and tea business.
Next thing I hear is her say, "Oh my, the room is turning white and spinning. . . ."
Then, BESSIE FAINTED! Goodness me! (My first aid kit is getting a good workout these days!)
Mr Crumble thought that it would be better if Bessie just sat down for the afternoon. She said that she was overcome with pure joy and the thought of actually having a business never occurred to her before. She was happy just making morning and afternoon tea for people!
We then looked at some assorted bottles. as well as the placemat that was a free gift for all of the mothers who attended the show.
The first 100 people to arrive at the show received a free gift. This is where I have to question, what were the organizers thinking when they handed out a cute little brown puppy? Puppies should not be given as gifts! It is a big responsibility and one not to be taken lightly!
He really is a cute little fellow, but I am only a renter at the moment and I know I cannot take him in. Luckily, Mr Crumble knows someone who lives on a big farm and needs a dog. So I know I will be seeing this dog again in the future.
Silly boy! He keeps licking my face!
Wow, this has to be the most fancy packaging of a product I have ever seen! It was from "The English Kitchen". Inside were two fabulous pieces of cookware for my new home. Of course, the owner of the store, Lesley Burgess, never sells her pots and pans without a delicious meal to go along with them.
Mr. Crumble got busy immediately, switching on the stove to warm up the food for dinner.
The aroma permeating the kitchen was intoxicatingly delicious, and we really enjoyed eating it! We will definitely be making these recipes over and over again!
Well, that's enough excitement for one day. Bessie is feeling much better now.
Cheerio.
Isabelle.

True Friends

Oh dear, I have been so sick!
Bessie called in for a cup of tea, but I told her that I had a headache...
a really, really, really bad one!
I couldn't even open my eyes! Bessie said she was going to get some help and a few supplies.
After a while she came back with Dr. Natalie, who checked me over and said that I had an "Elven Migraine". Apparently, it can occur during strange weather. With all the storms we have been having lately, it is no wonder my head is about to explode!
Dr Natalie gave me some medicine to ease the pain and stop the nausea.
Bessie promised the doctor that she would keep an eye on me and report if any thing went wrong. After a  while I began to feel slightly better. Bessie sent me off to have a warm shower, and whilst I was busy in the bathroom, she changed my bedding. (Floral again, oh joy)
I must admit, a warm shower and clean sheets really felt great. I even managed to smile when Bessie gave me a get well gift of a soft teddy bear. So sweet!
Bessie asked me if it would be okay if Pastor Brown came to pray for me. I said that would be fine.
Bessie is a real sweetie. Next to my bed she placed cold water, aspirin and a candle (in case the power went out). The silly storms we have been having are quite unpredictable.
As my appetite returned, I noticed that some home herbal tea, and a sandwich appeared!
Apparently Mr. Crumble was down in my kitchen whipping up sandwiches for everyone, as well as stocking my fridge and pantry with food. Ah, life is great with true friends.
 Time to just rest!
I am really fortunate to have come to this place.
Cheerio,
Isabelle
