Kinsey's House

Kinsey was looking through the listings of available homes when she came across a particular house that struck her fancy.
"I really want to take a look at this one," she said.
"Okay," I agreed. And off we went.
"Wow!" said Kinsey as we hopped out of the car.
"You do realize that this house needs a lot of work?" I cautioned.
"Mmm-hmm," said Kinsey, not really listening to me.
"There are no windows or doors either," I pointed out. But by the look on Kinsey's face, I could tell that everything I was saying was going in one ear and out the other.
I was beginning to feel some serious deja-vu. (Didn't the same thing happen when I showed Mr Arthur his house?)
"I appreciate that you are telling me that this house will require a lot of work, but I have already fallen in love with a few of the features," Kinsey said.
"For example, you see the tower and the upper balcony? When I was young, we had one that was very similar in style. It brings back wonderful memories."
We continued touring the inside of the house.
"What a ridiculous room!" laughed Kinsey. "Look, it is nearly as wide as my arm span. These walls will definitely have to be knocked down."
Now it is a dangerous thing when your client starts talking about knocking down walls. It means one of two things; 1) they are totally interested in the property, or 2) it is time to look for another house.
"This is perfect! I don't have to strip any wallpaper or pull up old carpeting. A fresh coat of primer and this place will be ready to decorate!"
I knew Kinsey was definite about the house when she spent about half an hour gazing out of the tower window.
"You know, this house kind of reminds me of your friend Miranda's house," Kinsey commented. "Do you think she will be upset if she sees this? Remember how her beautiful home got eaten by the termites?"
"How could I forget?" I said. "That story made me laugh and cry at the same time! Miranda will be okay as she is just about to move into a very large mansion, This house is a bit different anyway. Her house was The Seaside Villa, and this house is the Visalian. They are similar, but this one has a much smaller attic."
"Oh, that's reassuring," said Kinsey. "I am absolutely sure that I want to buy this house."
Guess it's time to get another contract drawn up.
Wow, another satisfied customer! This Property Manager / Real Estate thing is really easy!

Cheerio,
Isabelle

  5. I am glad to hear that the housing market is behaving well for Isabelle!

Kinsey has a lot of work to do on this house and I can't wait to see it. The exterior of the house is quite delightful.

Too bad about Miranda's termite problem--not fun for her I am sure. I hope she finds a nice, new house.

    Cheers,
    Iris
