Pizza again!

On the way home, Kinsey and I stopped to pick up a pizza. Let me tell you, it was pretty embarrassing when the guy behind the counter winked and said, "For Isabelle, right?" (Truth be told, I blame it on my studies!) In my defense, it is hard to think of some decent healthy meals when you are trying to focus on homework. I am almost done, so hopefully I will eat better soon.
After a quick tour of my house, Kinsey asked if I just moved in, and I told her that I have lived here for quite a while.
She was surprised at how bare the walls, floors, and shelves were. I looked around and came to the realization that I really have not made this house my home. I only sleep here as I spend most of my time at school or at the office.
I told her that I am only renting, but at least I have some couches! We both laughed and dug into the pizza.
After dinner, I began making up a bed for Kinsey. She was quite happy to sleep on the living room floor. (Actually, I think she is too exhausted to really care at this point!) It is too bad that I don't have a guest room.
Kinsey's comments rattled around in my head. This place really is kind of barren. Maybe the time has come for me to find myself a real home.
Kinsey likes things neat and tidy, and was eager to clean up after dinner. (It might be good to have a neat freak around!)
Poor Kinsey. She does not have any luggage as it got lost in transit. The airlines have assured her that as soon as it is located they will call her. She has been waiting for her cell phone to ring all day. Maybe tomorrow they will find it. Fortunately Kinsey was smart enough to carry a few necessities in her hand luggage that will tide her over for the next twenty-four hours.
We chatted for a little while and then I realized that it was getting late. We were both very tired so I said "good night," and headed upstairs. My last exam is tomorrow, and then I will be free!

Cheerio,
Isabelle

  3. Hi Isabelle! The house that you are currently renting has a very pretty living room, I love the color of the walls and the bookshelves on either side of the fireplace! You will have fun together with Kinsey making it feel more cosy and comfortable once your exams are done. I am sure that you will pass them with flying colors and then you can hang out your shingle .... Open for Business!
How is your property search for Mr. Arthur coming along? He was very anxious.

    1. I have a date set with Mr Arthur to view some properties this week. He had to go to New York to meet his publisher, but will be back here soon.
Thanks for the nice comments about the house, but I am only renting so it really doesn't feel like my home. Maybe I will fall in love with one of the houses I will be selling in the future!

  4. Isabelle, you and Kinsey have such beautiful eyes!

Thank heavens for pizza and for guests, who in an emergency, are willing to even sleep on the floor! Although, I am sure you will find a way to have a guest room.

Keep letting us know how you are doing.
    Cheers,
    Iris
