The Kinsey Blues

Kinsey has been looking rather depressed lately.
"What's the matter Kinsey?" I asked.
"Nothing," was the reply.
Now as everyone out there knows, when a female says 'nothing' it really means 'everything'.
I made some coffee, grabbed some cookies, and I told Kinsey that we were going to have a good chat.
Kinsey told me that she is feeling down about her living conditions. Although she is very grateful for having somewhere to sleep, this is not her home. What makes it worse is that she actually owns a house, but cannot live there right now.
Kinsey lamented that the renovations are taking way too long and Builder Sam is nowhere to be seen.
Actually, I know why.
Sam has been spending a lot of time with her mother who is visiting from Australia. Judging by the amount of DVDs lying around, I know that they have been watching a lot of movies.
Hmm, looks like Ewan McGregor is in a lot of those movies. I must say, he is rather handsome – for a human!
I told Kinsey that I would pull a few strings to get things moving along with her house, and that seemed to cheer her up. Now I just need to get busy and find some willing volunteers.

Cheerio,
Isabelle

  1. Poor Kinsey. It's rough when your human companion gets busy (or whatever they get. Distracted, maybe?) Anyway, it's great that she's got you to go to bat for her! Good luck getting your crew together, and I'm excited to see Kinsey's house after the renovations! - Miri

    1. Thanks Miri. I am pretty sure we can find some willing helpers ourselves. Dolls are fairly resourceful!

  2. It is difficult when real life takes over mini life. I have some unhappy dolls myself who are waiting for their home to be completed. Don't worry, Kinsey...it won't be long.

    1. Real life can be a pain when it interferes with creativity and playtime! There should be two days set aside for minis every week!

  3. Hello Isabelle,
Pour Kinsey. It might be hard now but I know she will be over the moon when she gets to move into her own home.

  6. These two are just so cute I have to giggle everytime! I love the shot of them sitting on the steps. Too cute! If their cuteness had anything to do with it, I am sure Kinsey's house will be done very soon.
Hey human, I hope you have a grand memorable time with your mom!

Yes, Sam has been having a wonderful time with her mum.

  7. I know that Kinsey is feeling frustrated right now, but how often does Sam Builder, get to see her mum from down under? Things will get back on track soon so tell Kinsey not to worry. Sam Builder will be back on the job as soon as possible and her house will get started. Just see how reliable a job Sam did regarding Mr. Crumbles bakery!
Quality work is always takes a little longer. :))

    1. Hi Elizabeth!
I can understand Kinsey's frustration, but it has been three years since Sam has seen her mum. She is having a real blast, but we do miss her here in Oak Leaf Forest! I know she will get back to Kinsey's house at some point, but in the meantime I will try to get some things done.

  8. Sorry to hear Kinsey is not usual cheerful self, but her home renos will be underway again soon I'm sure. Builder Sam needs time for family occasionally, especially when her mum has travelled all the way from down under to see her. Just keep being her friend Isabelle and all will be well.
    Hugs to all,
    X
