New Building

Hi everyone, Builder Sam here again.
I found this house that I thought would act as a great community center for the small dolls.
Below are the original pictures of the house as shown on Craigslist. (Yes, it had been stored outside under heavy plastic and there were a few resident spiders! Did I mention that I am deathly afraid of spiders? I think I was rather brave in overcoming my fear to bring this home!)
The first order of business was to issue marching orders to all the spiders.
Those that lingered behind, now live inside the vacuum cleaner.
The original ground floor was far too narrow, so I am in the process of making it much bigger.
This structure is HUGE, and I think it will be an interesting project.

  5. What a wonderful find! That's a great house in more than one meaning... ;O) And about the spiders... I think they had a fair chance to leave the house... *grin*

    1. Thanks Birgit! Most of the creepy things did end up in the garden.

  6. Oh wow, what a great find. I looks to be in very good shape and I do think you were very brave to face the spiders to bring it home! As for them, if they did not respond to your eviction notice, they deserved to be sucked up by the vacuum!

  7. Hi Sam!
Boy you really do have a great nose for finding just the right houses for your little ones. It will make a wonderful Community Centre and I can imagine all the activities you will encourage the dolls to get up to in that fabulous open space you have created for them.

You did the right thing extending that floor, it was strange not to have a full ground floor in the first place, but I do like that the second floor is more like a mezzanine though. I'm really looking forward to seeing exactly what you have planned for this building. :)
    Hugs,
    X

    1. Thanks Xanadu. This is a huge house with a very strange interior. I could only see it as a big space. I don't have any real plans yet, but I am sure this house will "talk" to me as to what it really wants!
