Bakery Progress - part 2

Another update on the bakery.

Mr Crumble met with the builder to decide on the exterior facade.  Here is a mock up version of what it will eventually look like.
The interior has been wallpapered, and now the baseboards and crown molding are ready to go in.
Looks a lot better than it did before!
I have come to realize that cats are very lazy creatures. Nova and Kovu are Sam's cats. They are supposed to be overseeing the renovations but it seems all they do is sleep ON the job! Here they are snoozing in the bakery's attic. Maybe they are testing the upper floor strength?
Here is Nova in one of those rare moments when he is actually performing his job!
Originally there was only going to be two dormers, but Mr Crumble thought that he might like to have three to allow more light into the attic.
The lower level has been finished with hardwood flooring, and the final exterior painting has been completed.
Now we are just waiting for trim, windows and shingles to be installed. I am just as excited as Mr Crumble about the bakery's progress. I can almost smell the lovely aromas of freshly baked bread!

Cheerio,
Isabelle

  1. The cats just fit in, maybe they want to go live on the attic when the bakery is finished, who knows :-). Mmm... but it looks like your helpers need some talking to on how to do the job properly though ;-). You made such progress, the bakery will look great!

  2. Hi Isabelle,
Mr. Crumble's bakery is coming along nicely. Those puddy cats really are a couple of old sleepy heads, better let them know there's no pay for no work!!
    Cheers,

    1. Thank you Xanadu. Cats sleep way too much in my opinion. They do just enough work to keep their bellies full and nap the rest of the time!

  4. Don't argue with the cat supervisors... they're able to take their naps because the renovation work is done so well! What a difference - looks great so far!

  5. It looks amazing with the 3 dormers. I can see it taking shape fast now. The downstairs is fabulous. And the occupied attic looks very sturdy. It's a beautiful house. It's going to look so cute!

  7. Hi Isabelle! How marvelous to see so much progress done on Mr. Crumble's Bakery. Blue is always so inviting and perfect for this house. The dormers will really make the attic lighter and brighter and make the attic space really livable. I am sure that Mr Crumble is excited to see his vision being realized so quickly. You have obviously hired a great general contractor! :D
