Adventurer's Club - January

Heather, at The Travelling Twig, has a monthly photo challenge, and seeing that this is my year of photo challenges I thought I would join the "Adventurer's Club" as well. (I am only a few weeks behind in my weekly one with Miranda, so let's see how I go with the monthly one!) January's theme is "Weather", and seeing Luka out plowing snow made me think that this would be a good entry.
The severe weather has finally hit Oak Leaf Forest and we have had about twenty "Elven" feet of snow!
Luka bought some heavy duty earth moving vehicles for his gardening business, and already he is putting them to good use. He has been keeping the paths and roads cleared of snow and seems his happiest when out in the great outdoors.
Luka just sings while he works. "I'm a happy Little Plowman, I am as happy as can be. . ."
Closely related to a Tolkien Elf, Luka barely feels the cold, and can be outside for hours on end.

Wherever you are, stay warm,
Isabelle

  1. Wow, Luka is quite an asset! How fortunate for him that he does not feel the cold much. I am happy he's keeping the paths and road free of snow so that you can all walk safely. :-)

    1. Thanks. Luka is kind of human-like in that he loves his vehicles, but he is rather immune to the cold.

  3. I LOVE this! I Love to take my little people out into the real world too! And it is really wonderful when it is the "right" amount of snow for them! "Twenty Eleven feet" must be just about right!!! Lol!

    1. It beats me why so many humans push the snow around with shovels when I see how quickly Luka can clear a path with a plow!

  5. I really envy Luka... with this equipment and not feeling the cold this might be fun... he looks very happy working in/with the snow. I'm quite the opposite - I'm a poor old freezing woman having to shovel that da*n cold white stuff from our paths without any help except from my snow shovel and we don't like each other very much... *sigh* ;O)

    Greetings

    1. Yes, I have noticed that humans seem to have a love-hate relationship with snow. They love to see it for a brief time and then they grow to hate it hanging around for too long.

  6. Looks to me Luka could be just enjoying himself a little too much Isabelle ... methinks it's definitely gotta be a guy thing.

Bet Sam could do with his help right now!

Hope you all stay snug and warm,

    1. Sam would love his help! She does not like to shovel wet heavy snow at all!

  7. Hello Isabelle,
Snow is nice when it first falls...but gets old soon. I am glad Luka is enjoying it though.

  8. Hello Isabelle! I love the picture of Luka in the snow and I am very happy that he does not feel the cold as we humans do. That little plow is the perfect size for him and as it probably takes him hours to shovel a human size path, he is well suited for the task if he is like the Tolkien elves and hobbits! :D

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. He is great at keeping the paths here in Oak Leaf Forest cleared, but he has attempted to help Sam in the human world and even that is just too much for him. Come on Spring!
